GRAMMAR 过去分词作宾语补足语 过去分词作宾语补足语,表示被动的动作或完成的意义,宾语补足语与宾语之间常常存在逻辑上的动宾关系,即宾语是过去分词所表示的动作的承受者。 【】 ★find, watch, see, observe, look at, hear, listen to, notice等感官动词。如: He tried the door and found it locked. We are pleased to see the problem settled so quickly. We can hear the windows beaten by the heavy rain drops. ★make, get, have, keep, leave等使役动词。如: They managed to make themselves understood in very simple English. It is wise to have some money put away for old age. He was very busy and often left his lunch untouched. ★wish, like, want, order等表示“希望、想要、要求”的动词。如: The boss wouldn’t like the problem discussed at the moment. I want my house painted white. 【拓展】have sth. done有两种解释:一是表示主语有意志的行为,have具有使役意义;二是表示遭遇、经历,此时过去分词所表示的动作是违背主语意愿的。如: The old man had his leg broken in the accident. ★介词with后也可接过去分词作宾语补足语,构成with复合结构。如: The thief was brought in with his hands tied behind his back. ★动词-ing形式、过去分词和不定式作宾语补足语的区别: 动词-ing形式和不定式作宾语补足语,宾语是其动作的执行者:动词-ing形式强调动作的正在进行或延续性,不定式强调动作的全过程或动作将要发生;过去分词作宾语补足语,通常宾语是其动作的承受者,多强调动作的完成。如: From the window we could see the children playing in the yard. (the children与play之间是逻辑上的主谓关系,playing表示正在进行或反复性的动作) I saw you put the key into your pocket. (you与put之间是逻辑上的主谓关系,put表示一次性动作) Her parents are very happy to see her awarded the winner’s medal. (award与her之间是逻辑上的动宾关系,award所表示的动作已完成) 【即学即练Jamal rented a new office for his accounting business. However, the office needed some work before he could move in.
