Task 1: How does the song make you feel after listening to it?
Task 2: Which of music is it?
Task 3: How many types of music do you know? Can you list them?
Classical music / Rock’ n’ Roll / Orchestra / Rap / Folk music / Jazz / Country music / Choral
Task 4: Match the picture with the music you hear
Task 5: What kind of music do you like: Chinese or Western, classical or modern? Why?
Step2.Task 1: List the famous bands the students know.
Task 2: Which band do you like best? Why?
Task 3: Do you know anything about the Monkees?
Task 4: Can you predict what the text is about according to the title and the pictures?
Step2.Task 1: Find out the main idea of the passage
Task 2: Skim the text and find out the topic sentence of each paragraph. You may find it either at the beginning, the middle or the end of the paragraph. (P35 EX2)
