Textbook analysisThis article is about a story telling of the wonderful experience of Alice. She happened to arrive in wonderland, and met some strange people and things. And she has lots of wonderful experiences. This text aimed to learn something of the past tense and retell the stories.
Analysis of the learners
My students are all from south of Xinjiang, and they have a poor knowledge of English. Most of my students are not good at spoken language. It’s difficult for them to memory lots of new words. They have a complex felling toward the subject. Besides, they all think it’s hard for them to memory the words and use the grammar. In the other hand, I’m not their head teacher, so I don’t have a positive infect toward them.
The students I teach are very smart but lazy, they are eager to learn something exciting and interesting. So I need put more attention to the basic knowledge. Setting up good relationship with students, and let them fall in love with English.
Teaching aims
Knowledge = 1 \* GB2 ⑴ Can read write and use the following words and phrases, and put them into practice.(wonderland , bottom, bored)
= 2 \* GB2 ⑵ Understand the text and learn about what happened to Alice.
(3) Try to memory some key sentences and put them into your essay.
AbilityLearn the new words and phrases.
Be able to retell the stories they read.
Be able to use the reading skills in other exercises.
Emotion Learn to work together to find the answers.
Improve the feeling in reading, and eager to introduce books to others.
