Teaching procedure: Step 1 Warming up 1.Greeting 2.Ask words Step 2 Reviewing and Leading in to 1.Go over the words and sentences 2.Act out the dialogue 3.Leading in to Step 3 Learning New Lesson 1.Learn to sing the song with fingures. 2.Listen to the chant on p38 3.T show one book and ask: How many books? S: one T: show two books and ask: How many books? S:Two books. T:show one and one is two, (repeat for two times) T:show two books and two books together Say: two and two is four. Tlead S to say the sentence. After S practiced then T ask some S to make sentences. S1: one and two is three. S2:two and four is six. S3:… 4.T show some cards 3+4=7: 2+6=8: 1+5=6… S try to say them in English. 5.Listen to the chant again and try to repeat. 6.T show the pictures on p36 37 T: ask some questions about the picture What’s this? Who’s he? How many monkeys? S: answer these questions. Listen to the tape S: follow the T to repeat and act. S: work in pairs 7.play a game on p38 Step 4 Summary Ask the students what they have learned. Open the books and read the text. Step 5 Homework For today’s homework is listen to the tape.
