Teaching steps:
Step1. Warmer
T: Good-morning, class. I hope that you are enjoying your day off.
Ss: Good-morning, Miss liu.
T: Let us practice some numerals. Look at the table on the board please (If necessary, the teacher can draw five continents on the board)
T: Well done. Now work in pairs and do the activity again.
Step2. Listen, point and find ‘is/’s, are’.
T: We are going to practice numbers in the thousands and numbers in the millions.
T: Open your book and look at Activity1, please. Look at the pictures. What can you see?
T: Can you tell me one of the numbers you heard?
T: Look at your books and listen to the story, please. Put up your hand if you hear one of the words or contraction and I will
stop the tape.
Step3 Listen and say
T: Look at Activity 2, please. Now look at the pictures. What can you see?
T: Now look at your books and listen to the tape, please.
T: Work in pairs. One student is A and another student is B. read the sentences.
Step4 Listen to the story again. Then answer the questions.
Step5 Listen, ask and answer.
Step6 Game: Tell me more.
