Presentation You may want to add a few more vegetables like carrots lettuce… Note the pronunciation of vegetable only has three syllables , drop the other syllables completely. Tell the students to close their books. Write them down on the board. Play the dialogue. Write down : big many heavy helpful Tell them to read through the dialogue and tell me who /what is big , many heavy, helpful. Play the dialogue and gets the students to repeat. Now , more around the class and show what things are heavy. Use the ‘Is it heavy?’ conclusion Read the dialogue together. Groups act out the dialogue, and show their play in the front of the classroom. Fast reading. Slow reading. Homework Recite the dialogue. Read the words and recite also. Ss listen and call out fruit or vegetable, depending on what it is . Put the students into pairs or groups. One students calls out the name of a fruit or vegetable an others says it’s category. Ask the students to think of all the things they can find in a supermarket. What things do they hear in the tape? Did they suggest these things before? Tell the students to underline these sentences in the book.
