Thoughts on the design:
本节课是以说和写为主的写作课. 在完成上节课听读任务的基础上这节课的主要目的是在学生掌握Step2: SKILLS?BUILDING2的基础之上,??要想获取信息可以通过说来获取Step3得到信息后,要着手写就要注意书写细节,这样就可以用上SKILLS?BUILDING3最终达到写一封的目标。Teaching aims:
Help students to ask questions about cultural differences;
Help students to write a letter of apology to explain misunderstanding;
Help students to improve speaking and writing skills.
Teaching important and difficult points:
1. How to improve the students’ writing skills;
2. How to understand the cultural differences.

Step 1: Lead- in
1. Ask students some questions about cultural differences. Show some pictures
2. Ask students to read a friend’s diary again and work in pairs to find out the strange actions, and fill in the chart.
