The dangers of scofflawry vary widely, for example, from routine double parking that jams city streets to the drunk driving that kills many people. We know that a typical case of scofflawry is red-light running. Its so common that its easily ignored by the public and this is so harmful to the fundamentals of social order. The author points out that the nature of scofflawry is the loss by individuals of the capacity to govern their own behavior in the interest of others.
