江 西 理 工 大 学本 科 毕 业 设 计（论文）题 目：A Study on the English Translation of Public Signs——A Case Study of Ganzhou City浅析公共场所标示语英译问题及对策——以赣州为例学 院：外语外贸学院专 业：英语班 级：学 号：学 生：指导教师： 职称：摘要随着国际化的日益加深，城市公共场所的中英双语标识语越来越广泛的被使用，成为了国际化都市、旅游目的地的语言环境和人文环境的重要组成部分。赣州市——江西第二大城市，被誉为“世界钨都”、“客家摇篮”，是国家历史文化名城、中国优秀旅游城市……然而通过调查，我们却发现赣州市公示语的英译存在很多问题，质量令人担忧，这与赣州市经济发展的速度和对外开放的水平很不相称，应该引起政府等有关部门的高度重视。因此，有必要对这一问题进行系统的研究。本文先简明的介绍公示语的基本知识，包括定义、功能、语言特点等，及相关翻译理论等。然后本文旨在根据一些实例，对赣州标示语英译错误：拼写错误、用词不当、语法错误、乱译等问题进行分析总结。并根据这些问题，本文从文化差异和语言方面的问题探究总结出可能导致翻译错误的原因主要有：对基本语法和语用掌握有误，对词语语义的理解不深刻，造成表达稍有偏差，对基本规则的了解不清晰以及对文化差异的体会不够，并提出改进公示语翻译的对策及建议以提高赣州公示语翻译质量。改善公示语翻译现状有赖于设立专门的管理部门，出台与关规定规范管理公示语翻译，加强对翻译人员的监管，加强社会各界的监督作用。关键词：公示语；翻译错误；翻译技巧；建议AbstractWith the growing globalization, Chinese/English bilingual public signs in public space are more and more widely used and now it has become an important part of the international language environment and cultural environment of the international metropolis and tourist attractions. Ganzhou city, the second largest city in Jiangxi province, is known as “the world’s tungstenpolis”, the “cradle of Hakka”. It is the national famous historical and cultural city, China’s famous tourist city... However, through the investigation, we found that the English translations of public signs have many problems, which is not commensurate with the economic development speed and the level of opening to the outside world of the Ganzhou city.
