Step 1 Organization
Teacher’s singing:
Good morning! I’m your teacher.
Good morning! You’re my student.
Good morning! What’s your name?
(The pupils are very happy. Then they’d like to introduce themselves one by one.)
Step 2 Presentation
A. Show the computer:
(There are some people in it. They are Tim and his mother, Pat and her father, the cartoon characters. They’re greeting each other.)
Cat: Hello!
Dog: Hi!…
B. Teacher Speak to a few pupils.
T: Hello!
S1: Hi!
T: Good morning!
S2: Good morning!
Step 3 Practice
Greeting in class.
Train games in group.
Step 4 Drills
Have a competition between groups.
Step 5 Homework
Use Hello, Hi, Good morning to greet and respond to greetings.
Footnote:
Pupils are very active in English class. They like playing games with teacher.

Listen, say and sing the alphabet song.
Greet the pupils with Hello! Hi! Good morning.
Step 2 Presentation
Have a talk with a puppet.
T: Hello! How are you?
P: Fine, thank you.
(Repeat the procedure slowly. Let pupils grasp the sentences.)
Act Goodbye.
Open the door of the classroom and pretend to leave.
T: Goodbye, class.
(All the students are laughing at that time.)
Step 3 Practice
Say Hello! How are you? To individual pupils.
