He Studies Harder Than He Used to. Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great honor to have this opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas today. My topic is He Studies Harder Than He Used to. It’s made up of five parts: the analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the teaching procedures, blackboard design and self evaluation. First, let me talk about the teaching material. Part 1 The Analysis of The Teaching Material: The topic of this lesson is about trouble and changes with parents’ help. The passage gives us a good example about how to solve problems and how to communicate with parents, and it also contains the strong parents’ love. As for students, they may meet all kinds of stress in life. So they will be interested in this lesson, and they can learn some effective ways to solve problems and relief stress. Learning aims: 1. Knowledge aim： Master the new words and new phrases. 2. Ability ： Be able to guess the meaning of the new words and phrases. 2 Be able to analysis the passage. 3. Morale aim： our parents’ love is very great and appreciate our parents. Important and difficult points: 1. Be able to analysis the passage. 2. Use the sentence context to guess the meaning of new words and phrases. Part 2 Teaching Methods: Communicative teaching method, up-down reading method and task-based method. Part 3 Teaching procedures: There are four steps in my teaching procedures. But before teaching, I will divide the whole class into 4 groups to do competitions while they finish different tasks in this lesson. Step 1 Pre-reading 1. To lead in this lesson, I will ask the students some questions: Where do your parents work? Does your father or your mother work very far from home? Are you a left-behind child? 2.
