Because of the inflation, high unemployment and rampant corruption of the government , Egyptians strongly demanded the president hosni mubarak(穆巴拉克 ) step down.(下台) Although the president and government tried to smooth the situation through many promises and measures, they all did not work . After 18 days ,Egypt’s protest calmed down with the resign of the president, and his power was handed over to the army. These protest activities lasted about 18 days and caused more than 100 people’s death, badly influencing every aspects of people in Egypt, such as communications and tourism. Considering the chaos in Libya was getting hotter up and the protest activities were severely threatening people’s life safety, our government had assigned many chartered airplanes(包机)(15 planes each day) to pick up Chinese nationals to China or other safer neighbouring countries.
