Job Description Role Profile Job Title Examiner Recruitment Officer Directorate China, East Asia Department Exams Location of post China Pay Band 5 Reports to Examiner Recruitment Manager Duration of job 2 Years Fixed Term Contract Purpose Of Job To process the visa and work permit applications of directly employed IELTS examiners in Beijing / Shanghai / Guangzhou / Chongqing 1 post in each city . The post-holder will liaise with local authorities and examiners and process the visa and work permit applications for a large number of examiners. Context And Environment British Council China operates across four offices: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. We employ over 350 staff. We deliver British Council products and services to people interested in engagement with the UK in the fields of education, society, English, examinations and the arts. The China examinations business contributes more than 12% of total British Council turnover. This role is also a key part of the wider British Council family and all staff members are expected to abide by its terms and policies.
