From the course Hjelmslev retained above all two affirmations: (1) Language is not substance, but form. (2) All languages are at the same time both expression and content. Hjelmslev listed out three structural relations: Interdependence(相互依赖) Determination（决定） Constellation（群集） He refers to Saussure’s Paradigmatic and syntagmatic when he describes the above-mentioned relations. 前奏：形成背景 1、马林诺夫斯基(BronislawMalinowski,1884-1942) 马林诺夫斯基（Malinowski）以研究土著文化著称，是“人类学功能学派” 的创始人。他对语言理论最重要的贡献莫过于强调语言的功能，强调语境研究的重要性。他使用“情景语境”(context of situation)探讨语义，认为话语应放在全部的生活方式情景中去理解，话语的意义实质上就是当时当地正在发生的人的活动。
