Hedges are widely used in various kinds of business English letters, and effect of hedges in business English communication is of vital significance. Based on the analysis of the business English letter in the pragmatic functions of hedges, points out that the reasonable use of hedges can make business communication more accurate, more flexible, more polite and more effective.
