Perhaps it may go back as far into time as the Garden of Eden. Eve may indeed have been the very first person to become hypnotized by the apple on the tree of life. So great was its fascination that she went against the Creator to possess it. That red delicious fruit captivated her. The serpent made a suggestion to Eve that how wonderful the taste of that apple would be. It is from his influential work that others derived the term hypnosis in the 1880s.Thus Braid is regarded as the Father of Modern Hypnotism. How to Perform Self Hypnosis Self-hypnosis means you hypnotize yourself. This is often more practical as a stress management tool than normal hypnosis. 1.Go to a quiet room and sit in any comfortable chair or couch 2.Make sure you are not going to be disturbed for at least half an hour. 3.Close your eyes and work to rid your mind of any feelings of fear, stress, or anxiety 4.Recognize the tension in your body 5.Take slow, deep breaths 6.Appreciate the fact that you are now extremely relaxed. 7.Repea
