Trained immunity in newborn infants of HBV-infected mothers 汇报人:黄清霞 2013级临床医学系 2015年4月26日 Introduction Introduction HBV is viewed as the prototypical pathogen that is thought to hijack the immaturity of the neonatal immune system and to establish a persistent infection through the induction of an ‘immunotolerant state’ in the host. HBV exposure in utero triggers a state of trained immunity, characterized by innate immune cell maturation and Th1 development, which in turn enhances the ability of cord blood immune cells to respond to bacterial infection in vitro. Introduction neonatal immune system is not defective. Instead, it presents unique functional features and the functional maturation of neonatal immunity can be modulated by external factors. method comprehensive immunological analysis of the cord blood cells from neonates of HBV chronically infected mothers. Results 1.Cytokine profile in HBV-exposed CB. 2.HBV exposure in utero enhances innate immune activation. 3.HBV exposure in utero induces robust Th1-polarized response. 4.HBV exposure in utero triggers a state of trained immunity. 5.HBV-induced immunological changes are neonatal in origin. 6.HBV-induced immune maturation is associated with HBsAg 7.IL-12p40 and IFN- a2 induce CB immune cell maturation. 1.Cytokine profile in HBV-exposed CB 2.HBV exposure in utero enhances innate immune activation 2.HBV exposure in utero enhances innate immune activation 2,HBV exposure in utero enhances innate immune activation 3.HBV exposure in utero induces robust Th1-polarized response 3.HBV exposure in utero induces robust Th1-polarized response 3.HBV exposure in utero induces robust Th1-polarized response 4.HBV exposure in utero triggers a state of trained immunity 5.HBV-induced immunological changes are neonatal in origin 5.HBV-induced immunological changes are neonatal in origin 6.HBV-induced immune maturation is associated with HBsAg 7.IL-12p40 and IFN- a2 induce CB immune cell maturation 7.IL
