Horizontal axis means annual average AC output. Regardless of the annual average AC output, electric and heat efficiency are maintained high level. Electric efficiency is over 30%, and heat efficiency was over 40%. * This table summarizes the operation results from 205 systems those have data of a year from October 2006 to September 2007. The 205 systems of LIFUEL supply 34% of electricity demand and 78% of heat demand. In the same period, the 205 systems of LIFUEL save 25% of primary energy and 38% of CO2 emission. Especially in terms of CO2 emission, about 1.3 tons/systems of CO2 emission is reduced annually in an average. By the way, it is very important what kind of reference is used to estimate the effect of CHP. In this calculation, the averaged value of fossil fuel fired thermal power plant in Japan is used. This is authorized in the governmental large scale demonstration program. But there is still big argument between CHP promoting industries and electric utilities. Our opinion is that factor based on averaged thermal power plant must be use as marginal factor in order to evaluate the introduction of CHP fairly and precisely. In detail, please refer to the additional material from Japan Gas Association later. These data encouraged us for PEFC CHP’s future. As mentioned before we will introduce next generation system with prolonged durability. And after the next system we will proceed our development to tackle the last and the most important issue, cost.
