教学内容 ( Teaching contents) 本节课是Book1第四单元的第二课时,它在对第一课时阅读材料有了初步的认识和理解的基础上对该话题加以巩固与加深理解。同时,通过本课时的学习,让学生学习有关地震的常用词汇和相关表达,为本单元的其他课时提供更多语言运用的信息输入。 教学目标 (Teaching objectives) 拓展对阅读课的再理解; 掌握并熟悉关键词和短语; 培养学生运用重要的词汇和短语表达关于地震发生的前后过程,进而为后面的听、说、写等环节的语言运用作好铺垫。 教学的重点与难点 (Teaching focus) 教学的重点:重要词汇与短语的学习与运用,比如burst, shock, as if, at an end, in ruins, rescue, trap, injure, destroy。 教学难点: (1) 引导学生在语境或上下文中理解词义 并发现其用法; (2) 通过语言操练而非练习帮助学生掌握 词汇和短语的用法; (3) 设置情景引导学生组织和运用语言的 能力。 Lead-in: Answer the following two questions : How did people feel when the Tangshan Earthquake happened? What was the damage caused by the earthquake ? Shock (n. / v.) at an end Read the short passage and learn the the following phrases. Complete the sentences. Then choose one to read it to the class. When the earthquake came, it was as if the world was at an end. ruin [v.] [n.] in ruins e.g. The whole village was ruined by the earthquake. e.g. The earthquake left the whole village in ruins. destroy --be destroyed (板书显示) burst Pick out the similar meaning of the word to replace it in the sentence.
