A review of Domestic Research on Rural Tourism 　　Introduction 　　The village traveling origins from the 19th century intermediate stage Europe， Chinas rural tourism started a little late， compared to the developed countries， but has maintained a good momentum， after the self-development in 1980s’ and the advocacy of the 1990s’， rural tourism has become the main trends in developed world in 21st century. By far， scholars have studied it and published a lot research results， but analysis has yet to be thorough. Now research results on rural tourism in recent years are summarized below. 　　Village traveling concept research 　　Domestic and foreign scholars have given a lot of definitions to rural tourism. Until now， since experts and scholars from different areas have focused on their own views and opinions， no universal view has been accepted. 　　BramwellLaneB （1994） think the rural tourism is not only the activities based on agricultural， but rather a multi-faceted activities， it includes holiday tourism，based on the agriculture， nature tourism， ecological tourism，also includes special interest， activity in the holiday walking， climbing and riding， adventure， sports and health tourism， hunting and fishing， education type of tourism， culture and traditional tourism and regional tourism activities. [1] He jingming， Li jinghua （2002） gave the narrow concept of Rural Tourism： rural tourism is the traveling activities based on natural scenery and cultural in rural areas.[2] Xiao youxing （2001） defines the rural tourism as a way of travelling based on village space environment， the village unique production， the folk custom character and the life form， using the difference between city and countryside to designs and combines the products.[3] 　　Through the comparison and analysis of the present rural tourism concepts， rurality should be defined as the most important factor of rural tourism. Inadequate understanding of the rural characteristics may lead to fuzzy concep
