The Note of National Role Conception as Foreign Policy Motivation: The Psychological Bases of Chinese Diplomacy The development thread of this paper is that we will learn sources of national role conception which related to psychological bases, and we should explore national self-role conception until we conclude the Chinese typology which can be a useful tool to study Chinese foreign policy. In Chinese case, statesmen psychologically apply asymmetric norms, symmetric norms and rebellious norms to understand interstate relations. And we should study the relationship between cultural norm and
