Use the following sentence patterns to help you report. 1) In open/closed cultures/Japan, it is polite/rude/impolite to do sth. 2) People from open/closed cultures/The Italians/The British usually/tend to do sth. / are more likely to do sth. 3) People from open / closed cultures/The Italians/The British do not do sth./ never do sth./avoid doing sth. British: Japanese: Americans: open cultures: look directly look look away look, rude (the same as the British) 1) How to use key words to report People from open cultures often look directly at others when talking. The British and the Americans look at the other at the beginning, but then they look away. The Japanese never look directly at others when talking.
