GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS This specification covers the Planned Preventative Maintenance of the Fire Alarm system at the premises detailed of the following page. The Contractor shall allow for all the labour and materials required for the planned preventative maintenance scheme. Maintenance procedures are detailed in this Specification for guidance only, this is a minimum requirement and to assist the Contractor in assessing the cost of the work, and contents. The Contractor shall be responsible for the preparation of a complete Maintenance procedures programme which will include for, but not be limited to the content of these typical procedures. The Contractor shall ensure that all maintenance procedures undertaken are in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendation and all statutory obligations. The Employer does not accept any responsibility for the safety of the Contractors staff in following these procedures since these procedures have been provided for guidance only. The Contractor must ensure that safe methods of working are used at all times and that the instructions to staff are safe for the particular maintenance operation. The Maintenance Procedures are given for the following periods where applicable:- Daily Inspections(Finish by Metro) Weekly Inspections(Finish by Metro) Monthly Inspections Three Monthly Inspections Six Monthly Inspections Annual Inspections The contractor shall provide full assistance to the Employer during the maintenance audits executed by the appointed auditor. This shall include the provision of all records as requested by the auditor, any guidance around the premises, explanation of systems and operations and demonstration that maintenance work has been executed in accordance with the contract. The Contractor shall make full allowance for the provision of this service at no extra cost to the contract (based on a maximum two audits per annum).
