Large foreign carriers such as AT T, BT, Sprint, MCI, NTT, FT have started to use MPLS network. Chinas carriers launched the first MPLSVPN business in China Netcom, launch date for the end of 2000. As the market increasingly optimistic about the future, China Telecom, China Railcom and other operators and SP have also started to provide this service. MPLS VPN business, competition is heating up the Chinese market gradually. MPLS VPN technology is mainly used for multinational users and industry customers at home and abroad branch offices. In building a network of independent small and medium enterprises can not be applied very widely. MPLS VPN technology to provide users with the quality and safety assurance, and cost savings, especially through the MPLS VPN for enterprise users of voice, data and even video services, including unified communications platform. At present, VPN has emerged to the banking, insurance, transportation, large-scale manufacturing and chains rapidly expanding operator trends. Chapter 1 of this paper describes the development process of MPLS VPN; in Chapter 2 of the MPLS VPN related knowledge profiles in order to commence the following MPLS VPN prepare the theoretical basis of knowledge; in Chapter 3 to explore the basic principles of MPLS VPN, and to elaborate on their theory of the relationship; in Chapter 4 describes the characteristics of MPLS VPN; in Chapter 5 of the paper is summarized.
