Yang Jiechi State Councilor of the People’s Republic of China At the Opening Session of the 51st Munich Security Conference 2015/02/07 尊敬的伊辛格主席，女士们、先生们：Respected Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger,Ladies and Gentlemen, 很高兴应老朋友伊辛格主席之邀，出席本届慕尼黑安全会议，同各位朋友就事关世界和平与发展的重大问题进行交流探讨。慕尼黑安全会议不仅是欧洲，也是国际上卓有影响的安全对话平台。面对不断变化的国际和地区形势，多年来，各界人士在此发表看法，有利于加深相互了解。It gives me great pleasure to attend this year’s Munich Security Conference at the invitation of my old friend, Ambassador Ischinger, and exchange views with you on major issues concerning global peace and development. As a platform for security dialogue, the Munich Security Conference is highly influential not only in Europe but also in the world. The views expressed by conference participants over the years have gone a long way towards deepening mutual understanding against the backdrop of evolving regional and international developments. 早在上个世纪八十年代，邓小平先生就指出，中方在分析国际状况时特别注意欧洲，认为欧洲是决定和平与战争的关键地区，希望欧洲有一个可喜的发展。现在距邓小平先生上述谈话已经时隔近三十年，国际形势发生了很大变化，但欧洲作为发达国家最集中的地区，在世界战略全局中的重要性依然突出，是多极化世界不可替代的重要一极。欧洲现在处于发展的关键时期，面临着前所未有的机遇，也面临着前所未有的挑战。中方始终看好欧洲的发展和一体化建设，我们对欧洲的未来有信心，祝愿欧洲取得更大的发展。 Back in the 1980s, Mr. Deng Xiaoping stressed the importance for China to pay special attention to Europe when observing international developments.
