INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SOLID PARQUET BOARDS Prior to starting work read the instructions for installation and maintenance of solid parquet boards (hereinafter referred to as parquet boards). Surrounding conditions necessary for laying and storing of parquet boards Parquet boards must be stored on a flat surface in closed packages. All ‘wet’ building processes must be finished in premises where parquet boards are stored or laid. New buildings must be heated and ventilated in order favorable humidity would be formed. Important: in places where parquet boards are stored and laid relative air humidity must be 40-60% and temperature must come up to +16oC - +24 oC. During the period of parquet boards’ maintenance humidity and temperature modes must correspond to conditions necessary for laying of parquet boards. If the conditions in the premises are appropriate it is advisable to start laying parquet boards immediately after delivery. The longer you keep parquet boards unlaid (worst-unpacked), the bigger is the possibility that geometry of parquet boards is going to change. In case if conditions are not yet proper, do not deliver parquet boards to such premises and store them in specially intended premises instead (in the sales point- as the best). Requirements for the base Suitable bases: concrete base, levelling compounds, OSB board, plywood, wooden subfloor, nonabsorbing surfaces (eg. ceramics), Damtec Standart cork-rubber underlay. The base on which parquet boards are going to be laid must be smooth, solid, physically well, uncracked, non-swinging, fixed firm. The base must be dry and protected against humidity. Hydroisolation must be installed in the re-cover of the base on first floors or rooms over garages and basements.
