Because … 3.Adjectives of quality; 二、考点透视 （一）【考纲指要】 1．掌握并运用由what / where / why 引导的疑问句及其答语。 2．能够掌握There be（am / is / are）句型结构及其运用。 3．掌握表示地点的介词及有关描述的形容词，并能灵活运用。 4．能就话题谈论动物、国家、国籍和语言，能用多种方式问路并回答。 （二）【命题落点】 1．—Where is your pen pal from？你的笔友是哪里人? —She’s from Japan.她是日本人。 该问句是一个常用句型，用于询问“某人或某物来自哪里”。Pen pal 意为“笔友”，有时候也用pen friend， be from 意为“从……来，是……的人”，可以和come from 互换。 2．— What language does she speak？她说什么语言？—She speaks English.她说英语。 what language 主要用来询问“什么语言”。speak 是动词，“speak + 语言”表示“讲某种语言”。例如：Her uncle can speak French.她叔叔会说法语。 3．—Do you have any brothers and sisters？你有兄弟姐妹吗？ —Does she have any brothers or sisters？她有兄弟或姐妹吗？ 在英语中，常用and ，or 来连接两个（或多个）并列成分。一般情况下，and用于肯定句，or用于否定句和疑问句。例如：We like music and art .我们喜欢音乐和美术。She doesn’t like thrillers or action movies.她不喜欢看恐怖片和动作片。 Do you speak Japanese or Chinese?你说日语还是汉语？ 句中brothers and sisters 意为“兄弟姐妹”，我们不能把他们分开来理解，而应该把它们视为“密切相关的人或物”，即一个整体。所以即使在疑问句中我们也要用and，而不用or。例如：Miss Li doesn’t have a knife and fork.李小姐没有刀叉。（吃西餐时，刀和叉是密不可分的餐具。） 4．The pay phone is between the post office and the library. 公用电话在邮局和图书馆之间。 Between …and…是个介词短语，意为“在……与……之间”，强调在两个人或物之间。例如：The baseball is on the floor，between the desk and the dresser. 棒球在写字台和梳妆台之间的地板上。 5．Turn left on First Avenue and enjoy the city’s quiet streets and small parks.在第一大道向左拐,然后享受城市中安静的街道和小公园的乐趣。 Enjoy作动词，意为“欣赏，享受……的乐趣”，后面可直接跟名词或代词，还可跟动词–ing 形式，相当于like doin
