Diaoyu islands The islands are 200 nautical miles east of China’s mainland and 200 nautical miles west of Japan’s southernmost island Okioawa. In the Ming Dynasty, Diaoyu islands and other islands has already belonged to Chinese landscape,but then we called them Ryukyu(琉球). On September 8th in 1951,Japan and America signed the Treaty of San Francisco. And in 1970.The United States return back the jurisdiction of Ryukyu islands and also give Japan Diaoyu islands.
