Morant Division of Water, Environment and Forestry Technology (Environmentek) CSIR P O Box 320 Stellenbosch South Africa Tel: +27 21 888 2400 Fax: +27 21 888 2693 August 2001 Scope The CSIR’s Division of Water, Environment and Forestry Technology (Environmentek) was commissioned by Pulles Howard and de Lange to assess the institutional support potentially available to assist with the implementation of the Orange River Mouth Conservation and Development Plan. The objectives of the study are to: Identify the skills required to implement the ORM/Ramsar site development plan; Identify the number and skills level of employee(s) required to implement the ORM/Ramsar development plan; Identify any training needs/skills required to implement the ORM/Ramsar strategy; and Recommend which institutions should be approached to implement and manage the ORM/Ramsar site development plan.
