Sports competition of the contemporary world in essence is the competition of science and technology, and advanced materials is one of important conditions improving technology level of sports science. This article analyzes the application of materials technology in competitive sports using the method of literature survey and logical analysis method. The results show that: the improvement of the performance of sports has a strong dependence on the new material; application of new materials in competitive sports raises the level of competitive sports and promotes the development of sports.
