III. Results from an Inventory of Conflict and Environment This section shows the outputs of descriptive data analysis of the 145 ICE cases. The general coding indicators, including the ICE number, mnemonic and brief description is shown in Table III-1. Appendix A provides more detail. The analysis intends to demonstrate the system and tools available to meet the upcoming challenge in managing cases of conflict and environment. The reporting that follows is divided into two groups. First, it describes the data attributes and characteristics for single variable combinations. Second, it discusses these data configurations for bi-variate combinations using cross tabs analysis. This second level of analysis permits a closer look at the environment factors that relate to specific types of conflict.
