假设语气 （14） 直述：If I am free,please help me with my work.. 假设：If I were free,I could help you with your work. 过去完成式----过去式----现在式----未来式 事实与假设，时态差一级。 假设法现在式：表示现在或未来的不确定的假设。 If+主语+现在式动词,主语+will/shall+VR If it rains tomorrow,we will cancel the picnic. I think that it will rain tomorrow. 下列两种句型用假设法现在式 主语+suggest/demand/insist/agree etc.+假设法现在式 I suggest that everyone (should) help in some way. I insist that he consult the doctor. It’s +a.(necessary,important etc.)+that +假设法现在式 It’s important that he (should) be honest. It’s important for him to be honest. 假设法过去式：表示与现在事实相反的假设。 If+主语+were/过去动词/过去助动词，主语+would/should/could/might+VR If I were young,I could enjoy this party. 事实是：As I’m not young,I can’t enjoy this party. 如果我有很多钱，我就买一艘游艇。 If I had lots of money,I would buy a yacht 事实是：As I don’t have lots of money,I won’t buy a yacht.. 假设法过去完成式：表示与过去事实相反的假设。 （15） If +S+had p.p. ,S+would/should/could/might +have p.p. If I had known the gossip then , I would have told you. 事实是：As I did’t know the gossip then,I wouldn’t tell you. 如果那时我们老师讲话大声点，我们就不会打瞌睡。 If our teacher had spoken louder then,we wouldn’t have dozed off. 事实是：As our teacher didn’t speak loud then,we dozed off. 除了If 之外，Suppose,supposing,suppose(that),providing (provided),as long as ,in case,unless, unless,通常不用于假设语气的从句中。 Suppose (supposing) that you had ten million dollars,what would you like to do? I will stay there ,provided (providing) that the climate agrees with me. 假设法过去式与假设法过去完成式混用。 If I had done my homework yesterday,I would go on a date with her now. As I didn’t do my homework yesterday,I don’t go on a date with her now. *若主从句时间不同，各自为准。 假设法未来式 If +S+should/were to +VR,S+would+VR 万一明天下雨的话，比赛将会延期。 If it should rain tomorrow,the game would be put off. 如果太平洋干涸的话，我会改变心意。 If the Pacific Ocean were to dry up,I would change my mind. 假设语气中，可将if 省略，形成were/had/should +主语的顺序 （16） 如果我是一只鸟，我就能飞向你。 If I were a bird ,I could fly to you .
