We will protect the folk art of Henan area by various effective methods, for example: Foster through the government, travel and drive to develop, propaganda and cultivation of media pass people on etc, make it survive and better developing. Key words: Folk art; Protect; Marketplace; Develop 民间艺术是一个比较抽象的概念，国内外对于各自的“民间艺术”都有着不同的理解和定义。美国商标专利局Michael S.Shapiro先生认为民间艺术应当是代代相承的，是社区创造性的结晶，通常非一人之功。其表现形式不固定，但在社区内使用并得到发展。[1]3 民间传统文化是中华民族世代相传的文化财富，是我们坚持先进文化发展方向的精神资源和物质基础。对民族民间文化传承保护的重视与否，是衡量一个国家和民族文明程度的重要标志。同时，也是促进地区文化、经济协调发展的重要因素。中原是华夏文明的发祥地，中原文化更是斑斓绚丽，河南的民间艺术就像一颗颗璀璨的明珠，在中原大地独放异彩。这些民间艺术历百年而不衰，传古今而芬芳。 一、河南民间艺术保护与发展的重要性 民间艺术是我国广大民众
