Against this background, the reasearch of coal enterprises’ competitiveness,especially coal enterprises how to obtain, maintain and update the core competitiveness isvery necessary.Under the analysis of the international changes within the scope of the current situationin the world and the coal industry development, detailed analysis the development of Chinesecoal industry, this context proposed the current opportunities and challenges which the coalindustry development facing.Using SWOT analysis method, analysing Z company’s externalenvironment and internal conditions, identifing the threats and opportunities the companyfaced, in order to make the company able to formulate better development strategies.
