Zhang Haidi（张海迪） Zhang Haidi is a national disabled role model, who inspires disabled people and other people as well to live with courage, devotion, achievement and dignity. Zhang became a paraplegic（截瘫病人）at the age of 5 following four operations that removed tumors in her spine, and since them 2/3 of her body has been out of consciousness. She has overcome a lot of difficulties in the following 46 years. Disabled people should obtain knowledge and skills according to their characteristics, for living and for society, Zhang said.
