EOPS Extended Opportunity Program Services “Over Above” EOPS MISSION The Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS) is undertaken by a community college to be “over and above” the regular educational programs of the college. The purpose is to provide positive encouragement directed to the enrollment, retention and transfer/transition of disadvantaged students, and to stimulate their interest in social, intellectual, educational, and vocational development. Be a California resident. Register and attend 12 units of course work during the term admitted into the EOPS program and register and attend at least 3 units in the following terms. Not have completed more than 70 degree-applicable units combined at all colleges attended. Not have completed 6 consecutive semesters with the EOPS Program. EOPS ELIGIBILITY Develop an educational plan with an EOPS counselor. An educational plan is required for acceptance to the EOPS program.
