Function principle: In the lower engine speed range the valves open late to increase idling quality and improve true running accuracy. In the medium engine speed range, the early opening of the valves produces higher torque and exhaust gas recirculation within the engine. This results in reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The valves are opened later again for full throttle in the high engine speed range. Our competitors also use the principle of adjustable camshafts.
