This thesis introduce euphemism to readers in terms of its origin, definition, feature and function, hoping to enable readers to master the features and using method of euphemism, thus to enable them to avoid unnecessary conflicts when they do not know much about taboos and can not use euphemism properly. Using a plenty of examples, this thesis show readers the features and using method of euphemism comprehensively and in details in a real language circumstance, hoping readers can use the euphemism properly in their future life. Key Words: Euphemism；Taboo；Feature；Function 摘要: 委婉语是人们在日常交流中经常遇到的一种语言现象，它以一种间接地口吻表达了说者的意图。本文从起源、定义、特点、功能四个方面介绍了委婉语，以期使能够掌握委婉语的特点和使用方法，从而避免对禁忌语不了解、对委婉语使用不当而造成的不必要的冲突。本文大量运用实例，在真实的语言环境中全面而详细地论述了委婉语的特点和使用方法，能够在我们今后的生活中学会正确使用委婉语。 关键词：委婉语 禁忌 特点 功能 CONCONTS 1.
