第二組-人文學報告 The Need for a Value-Based Reference Policy: John Rawls at the Reference Desk 參考政策基本的價值觀需求： 約翰羅爾斯在參考櫃台 組員:許家富 蘇昱任 陳奕宏 楊峻翔 吳承翰 摘要 A value-based reference policy satisfies both the practical concerns of the reference librarian and the principles stated in the Library Bill of Rights and the ALA Code of Ethics . 一個參考政策基本的價值觀使得實際的關心參考館員和原則聲明在合法的圖書館權利宣言和美國圖書館協會的法規與倫理達到標準。這樣的價值觀是公平的，如同約翰羅爾斯公平正義的理論。當允許圖書館員贊成自由使用資訊的理想時，參考政策以羅爾斯的方法在一個人文學術的社群中提供所有成員公平的服務。 ALA(美國圖書館協會) The Bill of Rights(人權法案)：在這裡指圖書館權利宣言 ALA Code of Ethics（美國圖書館協會的法規與倫理） John Rawls’ A Theory of Justice：羅爾斯正義論 雖然正義論內容繁多，但在這裡指的是圖書館的公平正義原則。 The Bill of Rights(人權法案)：在這裡指圖書館權利宣言 圖書館權利宣言 ALA 申明：所有圖書館是資訊與想法的公開討論場所，且依照下列幾個基本政策作為提供服務的指南 1. Libraries should provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues. Materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval. 3. Libraries should challenge censorship in the fulfillment of their responsibility to provide information and enlightenment. 4. Libraries should cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgment of free expression and free access to ideas. 5. A person’s right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin, age, background, or views. 6. Libraries which make exhibit spaces and meeting rooms available to the public they serve should make such facilities available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use.
