Period Five Cultural corner; Task; Module File The General Idea of This Period This period contains three parts, that is, Cultural Corner, Task and Module File. The first part is a passage mainly about the differences between quality newspapers and popular newspapers in Britain and the United States. In the course of reading the Ss should consciously compare the differences between quality newspapers and popular newspapers in Britain and the United States, while the teacher can provide them with a chart in which they give them some information about the British newspapers. The second part is Task, which aims at teaching how to write about your favorite newspaper or magazine. This is group work. They should gather and decide what to write. At the end of the class teachers can summarize what they have learned in this module.
