Scientific Method An Investigation System From the beginning of time, people have wondered how and why things happen in the world. Many people did not know why things happened. Not knowing what was going on was  surprising and sometimes scary. Since everything was a mystery, people made up stories to explain things. But some people used their brains.  They asked questions, “How does this happen?” or “Why did that happen?” They made predictions about what might happen. They decided to watch and observe very carefully. Pretty soon they were able to describe things they saw, such as: objects organisms events Next they tried out some tests to see what might happen. That was the beginning of SCIENCE! Good thinkers organized this investigation into a system. That’s how the was born. The scientific method is simply a procedure scientists use to explain why things happen the way they do. The Scientific Method has six parts: Problem  Hypothesis Materials Procedure Observations Conclusion * The smoke flies up to the moon and hides part of it. Round shapes roll very well!
