Age is a strong predictor for whether someone has internet access. Note that half of non-users in their 20s have been online in the past – they just currently don’t have access. That’s not true with users over age 65 – if they’re offline, they are probably what we call “Truly Disconnected.” Also, the younger someone is, the more likely they are to WANT to go online if they do not have access. Non-users over age 65 are less likely to see the point in learning how to use a computer and the internet at this stage of their lives. 87% of respondents to the FCPS email survey are between 35-54 years old. 7% are 25-34. 7% ar
