The Estates Committee will set the standards of condition to which the University will aim to maintain its land and buildings (property) within the context of allocated resources. The standards will be driven by Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets recorded in Estates Strategy with performance against target reported annually through Estates Committee to University Court. The University’s intention is that property should be maintained in a sustainable, safe and secure condition. The long term goal for maintenance services is to introduce a planned maintenance programme and secure funds to accelerate implementation of Long Term Maintenance (LTM) and compliance issues across the estate. The Estates and Buildings Office (EBO) will identify the techniques and scope of work necessary to meet the targets in order that maintenance costs can be identified, affordability assessed and funding allocated to the correct budget centre and dealt with appropriately. 2.0 Maintenance and Business as Usual (BAU) Operations 2.1 Maintenance, in the context of the University, refers to the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of facilities, buildings and grounds to an agreed standard of condition Maintenance – the work of keeping something in proper condition Repair – th
