On Causes of and Solutions to Non-ideal Oral English Class 探索英语口语课堂败因及对策 Acknowledgements My idea for this thesis came from the enlightenment of my instructor, Mr. Chen Kaifu. He offered me a lot academic and constructive advice on composing this paper. Therefore his invaluable encouragement and help are worthy of my deepest acknowledgement. And I also would like to grasp this chance to give my special thanks to those teachers who had taught me and gave me much help during these two years, such as Mr. Xia Kangming, Mr. Liao Baiqiu, and Mr. Dai Lisheng. At last, I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all the leaders and teachers of the School of Foreign Languages, my friends and classmates, from whom I benefited a lot. Abstract As an international language, English is not only the bridge to connect between countries, but also an important media for broadcasting information. Thus, as one of the communicating methods, oral English is very important. With the globalization of life and economy, improving the teaching and learning on oral English can’t be put off. This thesis will mainly analyze some problems in oral English teaching and learning and put forward some solutions. The body consists of four parts. The first part is introduction. The second part will introduce the current situation and some trouble in oral English teaching and learning. The third part will analyze the causes of unsuccessful oral English learning and teaching. The last part will present some solutions to those problems and some practical methods to improve students’ oral English. Key words: English; oral English teaching; problem; solution 摘要 英语作为一门国际性的语言,不仅是国家间沟通的纽带桥梁,也成为信息传播十分重要的媒介。作为交流的手段之一,口语就显得尤为重要。随着社会生活和经济的全球化,改进口语教学刻不容缓。本论文主要分析了口语教学中存在的一些问题,并提出了解决这些问题的方法。本论文由三部分构成:第一部分介绍了口语教学的现状和存在的问题;第二部分分析了导致口语教学不成功的一些原因;第三部分具体阐述了提高学生口语行之有效的策略。 关键词:英语;口语教学;问题;方法 On Cause of Solutions to Non-ideal Oral English Class Introduction
