Safety Regulations concerning student personal outings of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) According to the instruction spirit of the Ministry of National Education on college students safety and to ensure the safety of individual student holiday trips (including spring and autumn trips) in the school or collective outings, the university hereby formulate the following regulations: The subordinate schools should pay special attention to the importance of safety of individual student holiday trips ( including spring and autumn trips) in the school or students’ collective outings and take effective measures to prevent security incidents happening. The school will organizes Week of Security and Law Education in each school year after freshmen entering the school; The subordinate schools should carry out effectively safety regulations education at the beginning of each semester to all students of the college and should strengthen education and training of the students’ safety knowledge and skills of self-saving. Students who require holiday outings should be strictly follow the principle Safe, Near, Local formulated by the Ministry of Education. Students who take outings should pay attention to safety and should not go to the steep terrain or risky sites. Before leaving campus for outings, students must promptly inform the whereabouts to roommates and return to school on time. if there is special reason that cause them to fail return to school, students must ask leave from teachers and counselors and then inform roommates by phone. For these students who don’t come back to the dorm, roommates should report it immediately to the class teachers and counselors. Students who leave Hangzhou should ask leave from class teachers and counselors. For those students who live off-campus after outings without permission or leave Hangzhou privately without asking for leave, the subordinate schools should issue Notice of Criticism within the whole school and g
