 USING THE VISUALISER ITS are gradually replacing old OHPs (OverHead Projectors) with modern visual presenters. The notes below should help you to start effectively using the unit with minimum of effort. To use the visual presenter, you must first switch on the AV Cabinet unit (instructions to do this are found on top of the cabinet). Switch on the Visualiser via the switch’ found at top right hand corner of the unit and labelled ON/OFF. Select Visualiser on the AV cabinet. If everything is working, you should see a ‘ghostly empty image’ on the large display screen. To display printed sheet of paper Place the object paper face up on the flat bed of Visualiser. If you place sheet in ‘portrait mode’ you should see an outline on display screen. If you place sheet in ‘landscape mode’ you will need to ‘single press’ the IMAGE ROTATION button until the correct orientation is obtained on screen. You may now need to adjust in order to view the contents of the sheet. There are several control buttons (see overleaf for location) which provide facilities for doing this and you may need to use a combination in order to obtain optimum results. Buttons to experiment with include: The IRIS button, controls the brightness of image. In most cases selecting the AUTO/MANUAL button should suffice, however pressing OPEN as many times as needed, will brighten the image. Pressing CLOSE as many times as needed will darken the image. In most cases pressing the AF (AutoFocus) button should focus the text. Pressing ‘contrast’ will adjust contrast. Pressing ‘POSI/NEGA’ will invert a document –which can improve readability in some case (note this ONLY works IF contrast is switch OFF). If the Upper light source is ON, you can control this light source to a degree by either carefully rotating the lamps themselves and/or adjusting their position by carefully moving the arms upon which they are mounted.
