It’s particularity is completely different from other contemporary poems on it’s art style as well as its connotation. Not only it is poetry, but also it is ecological so that it has this particularity. Ecopoetry is not simply equal to “ecology plus poetry”. Ecopoetry is a kind of poetry which is based on ecological holism, regarding ecosystem’s holistic benefit as its highest value, and it is mainly inspecting and representing the relation between nature and human beings, exploring the root of the ecocrisis. On one hand, ecopoetry criticizes the inveteracise of industry civilization,reveals the errors of human beings, reflects on the deep-seated cause,so that it has ecopoetry’s particular strength under the steering of ecological holism.On the other hand, ecopoetry’s vigour including ecological ideal realm,ecological sense and ecological spiritualism,it integrates ecology and poetry ideally.These constitute the particularity of the ecopoetry.Huahai Qi is the most represantive poet of contemporary Chinese poets.The dissertation mainly sets Huahai’s ecopoems as example, discussing about the formation, the characteristic, the actuality and the future development of the contemporary ecopoetry in China,by analyzing Huahai’s inditement’s transformation,his ecopoetry’s ecological thoughts, and his contribution towards the circle of Chinese poetry and so on.
