It is he who supports and encourages me to finish my thesis. 摘要作为一门重要的国际性语言，英语是世界科技, 国际经济与文化交流的载体。随着社会发展，英语在我们的日常生活中发挥着越来越重要的作用。词汇是语言的，没有词汇就没有语言。因此，词汇教学是外语教学中至关重要的环节。所以如何搞好词汇教学，如何让学生更有效地掌握词汇是摆在教师面前的一大难题。教师如何改进英语词汇教学，完成词汇教学任务，成为亟待解决的问题。 研究表明，外语教学的成败在很大程度上取决于词汇教学的效果。词汇量的大小直接影响听、说、读、写各项能力的发展，是培养学生综合语言运用能力的基础。学生不掌握一定的词汇量，就无法顺利进行听、说、读、写、译，就无法进行英语交流。因此,词汇教学是英语教学高中重要组成部分。在将近11年的高中英语教学中，深感本论文共分为五章。首先简要介绍本研究发起的，意义及各部分内容简介；第二章主要介绍英语词汇教学的研究概况；；是结论和教学建议。 关键词：英语；英语词汇；词汇教学 Abstract English, as an important international language, is the carrier of science and technology, international economy and cultural exchange
