Hands on Tutorial for SES 10.1.3 Includes: Installation of AS 10.1.3 Installation of SES 10.1.3 Setup of Animation example Remarks: Download GateDemo.zip from OTN (/technology/products/sensor_edge_server/tutorials/GateDemo.zip) For this tutorial we selected the most basic installation option of the SES. Usually we recommend to install SES together with SDR Install the Application Server (AS) Run setup from the Installation CD or from the download directory. Oracle Universal Install Application Service Installation Screen Enter the “Installation Directory” and select “Advanced Installation Mode” The path entered for Installation Directory will be called ORACLE_HOME from now on. Press the Next button to continue the installation. Ignore warning and press the Yes button to continue the installation Select Installation Type Select “J2EE Server and Process Management”. Press the Next button to continue the installation. If Windows Security Alert appears press the Unblock button Specify Port Configurations Options Just press Next Administration Instance Settings Mark check box for Configure this as Administration OC4J instance and press Next Administration Settings Enter AS Instance Name (e.g. DemoInstance) and Administrator Account Password. (e.g. hello) ( remember it !!!) Press the Next button to continue Cluster Topology Configuration Just press Next Summary Press Install Install the Sensor Edge Server Run setup.exe from the Installation CD or from the download directory Oracle Universal Install Welcome Screen Press the Next button to continue Specify File Locations Select Destination Name. (Same ORACLE_HOME where you installed Application Server) Default value: oracleas1 Press the Next button to continue Ignore warning message. Press Yes button to continue. Select a Product to Install Select the option Java Development and Deployment Service Press
