Overview Background Bright Star A brief analysis Life experience of Keats Epitaph(墓志铭) Background While on a tour of the Lake Country in 1818,Keats had said that the austere scenes refine ones sensual vision into a sort of north star which can never cease to be open lidded and steadfast over the wonders of the great Power ;the thought developed into this sonnet. Keats drafted this poem in 1819, then copied it into his volume of Shakespeares poems, while on the way to his death in Italy in Spetember,1820.
